Jennifer Reams, Senior Advisor, Infrastructure Compliance Concepts

Jennifer Reams has been committed to underground damage prevention and public safety for over 13 years.

Her passion for damage prevention was ignited while she served as the Director of Safety for Crestline Paving & Excavating Co., Inc.  Taking what she learned as an excavator, she entered the transmission pipeline industry with a multi-perspective approach as the Damage Prevention Coordinator for Tallgrass Energy. She is well known for her advocacy efforts and beliefs that effective damage prevention is only possible when all stakeholders are fully involved and held equally accountable for their obligations in the process.

Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in several state and national initiatives to improve damage prevention efforts both legislatively and in the field.  Most recently, Jennifer was one of the major stakeholder representatives that participated in revisions to Ohio damage prevention law (2012) and newly signed SB 378 (December 19, 2014).   As Ohio strengthened its damage prevention law, she was honored to accept the appointment by Governor Kasich as a stakeholder representative on the Underground Technical Committee in 2015.

She has given many training presentations, webinars and has served as subject matter expert for several governmental agencies including the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration forum for impact on exemptions in state one call laws (2013).  Also, Jennifer has published numerous articles for Industry in Magazines such as Pipeline Agricultural Safety Alliance, Damage Prevention Professional and Excavator Safety Guide and Directory (2013-2017).
