2026 CSIA Spring Labor Conference Recap

Industry leaders, contractors, labor representatives, and partners gathered in Nashville for multiple days of education, collaboration, networking, and important discussions shaping the future of the mechanical insulation industry.

The Central States Insulation Association hosted its 2026 Spring Labor Conference April 27–29 at Dream Nashville, bringing together attendees from across the insulation industry for a packed schedule of educational sessions, labor-management updates, workforce discussions, and networking opportunities.

The conference opened Monday with the CSIA Board Meeting before transitioning into a full educational program Tuesday and Wednesday featuring presentations from industry experts, association leaders, and business consultants.

CSIA President Chris Tremberth welcomed attendees Tuesday morning and shared updates on current labor-management initiatives and industry priorities. Brian Willett of Gribbins Insulation also provided attendees with updates from both the National Insulation Association (NIA) and NUICA.

Throughout the conference, attendees participated in conversations centered around communication, leadership, workforce development, conflict resolution, profitability, recruiting, and the evolving challenges facing today’s contractors and labor organizations.

Andrew Burcham and Chris Alford of Neutral Resolution Group led multiple sessions focused on union-management communication, crisis negotiation, conflict stabilization, organizational change, workforce strategy, and preparing for the future of labor relations.

Attendees explored practical communication strategies, problem-solving approaches, workforce modernization challenges, AI and automation impacts, and methods for strengthening collaboration between labor and management teams.
